Once the tile and grout have been installed

WonderBoard or Durock cement board, also known as backerboard, are resistant to water and are ideal materials for applying ceramic tiles to high-moisture areas. Durock can be applied directly to wall studs and ceiling joists using hot-dipped galvanized nails or galvanized wood screws.Thin-set or an adhesive mortar can be applied directly on the WonderBoard or Durock cement board for attaching the ceramic tiles. However, fiberglass mesh tape should be applied over all seams and smoothed out with a latex thin-set prior to the application of stainless steel ada grab bars ceramic tiles.
If ceramic tile is desired on the floor of the shower as well, then a shower pan membrane liner should be installed prior to the installation of the WonderBoard or Durock cement board. The shower pan membrane liner is used to ensure a leak-proof shower.Shower pan membrane liners are used to funnel any water that seeps through the floor or wall grout to the shower drain below. The shower pan membrane liner is made up of a flexible type of plastic material that sits below a bed of mortar, and the tile, in the shower floor area. Prior to installing the shower pan membrane liner, the floor of the shower needs to be pre-sloped to ensure that the water will flow towards the shower drain assembly. The pre-slope is accomplished by applying a layer of mortar to the floor of the shower unit area. The layer of mortar is troweled in such as way as to create a gentle slope from the shower wall edges to the center of the shower where the drain resides. Once the pre-slope mortar has cured, the flexible shower pan membrane liner can then be installed. There are a couple of types of shower pan membrane liners on the market, with each having their own benefits. With either type of membrane, the homeowner needs to form and fold the material into the base of the shower area and secure it to the sides of the shower wall frame with staples and/or nails. In addition, an opening in the membrane should be cut out to allow the adjustable shower drain assembly to slip through. With the shower pan membrane installed, the cementitious ceramic tile backerboard can then be secured to the framed shower walls. The backerboard is a rigid material that is ideal for attaching tile in wet areas such as a shower stall. After installing the ceramic tile backerboard, a final coat of mortar needs to be applied on top of the shower pan membrane to protect it and to provide a solid base for laying the ceramic floor tile. With the final coat of mortar cured, the ceramic tile can then be installed in the shower.
Once the tile and grout have been installed, the shower drain assembly should be adjusted so that the drain height sits flush with the finished ceramic tile floor. For more information on installing a shower pan membrane liner, see the Shower Pan Membrane Liner Installation EBook from HomeAdditionPlus.com. The Shower Pan Membrane Liner EBook will quickly teach you the step-by-step process for installing the shower pan membrane liner correctly. It includes instructions on framing the shower stall, pouring the pre-slope and shower base mortar, and installing the shower pan membrane liner.

Choose fittings such as shower heads and thermostatic controllers

Whatever your style there are many options available to you and your plumber or bathroom fitter can help you decide what is possible with your installation and present plumbing system.Your plumber will be able to advise you on the water pressure available to you and how this Wholesale Safety Bar Suppliers will affect your options.
Generally speaking, most showers require a minimum water pressure of 0.1 bar though most manufacturers recommend anything from 5 to 5 bar water pressure. Thus ensuring that the carefully designed shower heads deliver water in the way they were designed. Choose fittings such as shower heads and thermostatic controllers that work with the maximum water pressure you have at your disposal.Should you choose a fixed head or an adjustable rail system? Many people like the clean look that fixed shower heads give. The supply pipe work is hidden behind the shower in a “wet wall” giving a contemporary and clean look. The downside is that the head is set at a fixed height and probably not at the optimum height for everyone in the household. An adjustable rail will allow the shower head to slide up and down a rail fixed to the wall. This allows the shower head height to be set at the optimum height for most people. Many modern shower heads now incorporate an adjustable dial which enables the user to set different spray patterns and body jets can be added to a shower system to create an “all over” experience. The choices are many for todays homeowner consumer. Period style shower heads too are readily available to suit many shower thermostatic and none thermostatic systems. The traditional English shower rose is experiencing a new blast of popularity. Its combination of a drenching but less pummelling shower and stylish looks appeal top many. But take note that some of the larger shower roses (and these can available up to 300mm) require a minimum pressure of 3 bar. If you are unsure about the pressure available to you then your plumber will be able to advise you on this and your options regarding raising the water pressure artificially through the fitment of a pressure pump. Remember too that hot water pressure supplied by combination boilers is dependant on the mains water pressure and the water pressure at your shower head will be this pressure.
Conventional, non-combi set ups allow for raising of water pressure more easily. As always If your bathroom project is done by an unqualified plumbing contractor without a written contract then you may experience problems. If your plumber does not hold current insurances which may be needed in the event of creating a water leak then you may well find yourself uninsured and out of pocket and liable for water damage to adjacent properties. How many people know what soap really is

How many people know what soap really is? Several of the cleansing bars that you buy at the store, for example, are detergents-and not soaps at all. They are called syndet bars, or synthetic detergent bars. They are made from synthesized chemicals and are usually much harsher than home depot shower rod  soap.
Detergents contain petroleum distillates rather than oil. On the other hand, true soap is made from natural oils (such as olive, coconut and palm) and is a gentle cleansing product more appropriate for use on skin than is detergent.  Soaps, unlike detergents, are made by combining sodium hydroxide or lye, oils and water in a process known as "Saponification". Some people may question the use of lye in handcrafted soap. The fact is that all soap is made with lye. What needs to be made clear is that once the process of saponification is complete, the lye and oil molecules have combined and chemically changed into soap and glycerin. There is no lye present in the finished bars of soap.  The oils in our soaps are put there for a specific purpose. The coconut oil creates a wonderful lather. The olive oil is used for a high quality, long lasting bar. Canola and Palm oil carry nutrients to the skin, and the safflower oil make a creamy bar.  Glycerin is a skin soothing emollient that adds to the goodness of handmade soap. In commercial soaps the glycerin is removed for sale to the cosmetic industry to sell separately, sometimes at a higher price than the soap itself! Glycerin is important to skin care because it is a humectant. Humectants draw moisture from the air, which in turn moisturize your skin. A whole 1/5 of a bar of our soap is glycerin.  Most soaps have artificial ingredients to scent or color. Some handcrafted soap is scented with fragrance oils. These are synthetic chemicals that are mixed together to imitate a particular scent. They have contributed in many cases to chemical sensitivity in some people. They also have no aromatherapy benefits. The scents in our soaps should come only from essential oils, which are steamed or pressed from plants.
Essential oils are the fragrance emitting components of plants and are at the heart of aromatherapy. Not only do they smell good; they have many beneficial effects on the body, mind and spirit.  The coloring in our soap should come from nature as well. The petals of Lavender and Rose can be used. Earth Pigments can also be used, which are simply finely ground rocks. This makes the colors rich and earthy, rather than artificial looking.
